PADI Instructor Development Course [IDC] Become a dive educator through the IDC and develop your academic, confined water, and open water, teaching presentations to a professional level. The course is 10 days long and consists of the PADI Assistant Instructor [AI] and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor [OWSI] programs. The AI and OWSI courses can also be taken independently and designed to personal schedules. Make the course relaxed and more enjoyable by beginning with independent study at home and at your own pace.

PADI Assistant Instructor [AI] Work in partnership with PADI Instructors. Organize and supervise knowledge development, and assist with confined and open water activities. The course runs 4 days or can be designed to fit your schedule.

   Prerequisites include:
        being a PADI Divemaster
           - or -
          leadership level with another diver training
          organization
        18 years old
        60 logged dives

PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor [OWSI] This is the first PADI Instructor level certification by dive professionals. The course includes a review of PADI standards and procedures and will provide candidates with the teaching methods necessary to be successful at an instructor exam. The course is 6 days long or can be designed to fit your schedule.

   Prerequisites include:
        being a PADI Assistant Instructor
              - or -
        instructor member with another recreational
          training agency
        18 years old
        CPR within 24 months
        60 dives

   Materials include:
        PADI Instructor Manual complimented by
          support material from all previous PADI
          courses

   Suggested path for Continuing Education;
       Master Scuba Diver Trainer
       Specialty Instructor
